Tax Collector

TAX COLLECTOR – PASSAIC CITY (Passaic County) Full-Time.  Current Tax Collector retiring as of 1/1/2024. Candidate must possess a valid CTC Certificate issued by the NJ Dept. of Community Affairs with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
Duties include, but not limited to all statutory requirements of Billing, Collection, Enforcement and Reporting.  Must also consult with Municipal Finance Director and Municipal Auditor to maintain accounting and reporting procedures and all other tax related functions. 
Candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational, computer and communication skills. Knowledge of the Edmunds software along with Microsoft Word and Excel. Tax/Utility Collector

DUNELLEN (Middlesex County). Dunellen Borough is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Certified Tax and Sewer Utility Collector, to oversee collection operations. Dunellen has over 2,400 tax line items, plus semi-annual sewer collections.  Municipal experience and knowledge of BRT software, Edmunds software, and all Microsoft applications is required. Tax Clerk - Full Time

The Township of South Orange Village (Essex County)is accepting applications for the full time position of Tax Clerk in the Tax Collector’s office. The position is available immediately. Duties include but are not exclusive of receiving and processing payments, preparing and reconciling  daily deposits and cash drawer, the preparation and mailing of delinquency notices, responding to inquiries received in person, by email or by telephone, and the mailing of bills to new homeowners. The job requirements include cash handling experience, a general knowledge of bookkeeping terms and understanding of posting procedures, working knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft products, as well as, the ability to multitask, learn quickly, and maintain confidentiality.
