Tax Collector

The Borough of Eatontown ( Monmouth County) is currently accepting applications for the position of Tax Collector.
Candidate must possess a current and valid Tax Collector’s Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.  Specific duties include but are not limited to billing and collection of property taxes.  Candidates must have knowledge of all statutory requirements for billing, collection and reporting and must have experience with Edmunds tax and utility software.  The Tax Collector works Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.   Salary range depending on experience for this position is $79,000.00 - $85,000.00.  For a complete job description and application, please visit




Chief Financial Officer

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Township of Middle, Cape May County.
The Township of Middle is seeking an experienced financial professional to serve as the Township’s Chief Financial Officer.  Under direction of the Township Committee, and reporting to the Township Business Administrator, the Chief Financial Officer is primarily responsible for the management and oversight of all financial activities and operations performed by Middle Township Government. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, accounting and maintenance of the general ledger, annual budget preparation, audit coordination and compliance, bank reconciliations, capital budgeting, cash management, debt management, financial reporting, fixed asset inventory, internal control systems, issuance of bonds and notes, investment and disbursement of funds, monitoring expenditures and revenues, payroll administration, and state pension and benefits processing. Qualified candidates must possess a State of New Jersey Municipal Financial Officer License (CMFO) with a minimum of 3 years work experience as a CMFO for a municipality of similar size and budget in the State of New Jersey. Excel proficiency and experience with Edmunds Financial Systems is a must.  QPA License would be a plus but is not required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Assistant - Tax & Finance

FULL-TIME TAX AND FINANCE OFFICE ASSISTANT– The Borough of Fair Haven (Monmouth County) is seeking to hire a full time professional to work as an administrative support person for the tax and finance offices.  This individual must have strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written skills and be attentive to detail.  Proficiency in Excel is essential, proficiency in Edmunds Finance Software is preferred and payroll experience is a plus. The Borough will consider training a candidate that has finance experience and/or education that is not related to municipal government.    Salary will be based upon qualifications and experience, with a full benefit package. Tax Clerk

The Township of South Orange Village is currently accepting applications for a full-time Tax Clerk in the Tax Collector’s office. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: processing payments, performing routine calculations, posting entries in cashbooks, journals, and ledgers, preparing cash receipts reports, performing a variety of repetitive clerical tasks, maintaining files and records for accuracy, checking for completeness of various types of documents, and performing related duties as required in a timely fashion. Candidate must be able to learn quickly, be highly organized and detail-oriented, be able to perform in an active office environment requiring multitasking skills, and be able to maintain composure when dealing with the public. In addition, the desired candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and diligently. Prior tax office experience is preferred and knowledge of First Byte/Insync system is a plus. Some college with at least two years of cash/check handling and customer service experience is required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
