Tax Collector

Certified Tax Collector (CTC)– Full Time – Bordentown Township
Bordentown Township is seeking a full-time Certified Tax Collector (CTC). Bordentown Township is a growing, progressive community with an annual budget of $16.5M and approximately 4,000 line items.   The Township is not responsible for utilities or any special tax districts. Duties include processing receipts for taxes, balancing and reconciling accounts daily, mortgage company bank code changes, lien calculations and redemptions, managing annual tax sale and billing processes. The successful candidate will be a team member of the finance office and will be expected to assist in the day-to-day operations, which shall include, but not be limited to accounts payable and assisting the CFO. Must be knowledgeable in all functions of a tax office, including collection of Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT), be accurate, attentive to detail, and must have excellent customer service etiquette. The candidate should be proficient in Excel and Edmunds.  Possession of a NJ Certified Tax Collector (CTC) License is required.
