TAX COLLECTOR
     Deputy Tax Collector
Full Time Deputy Tax Collector – Township of Mount Laurel (Burlington County) is seeking a full time Deputy Tax Collector to work in conjunction with and under the direction of the Municipal Tax Collector. In the absence of the Municipal Tax Collector, the Deputy Tax Collector shall perform all of the duties of the Office of Tax Collector. Applicants must have strong customer service, management, math and analytical skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. The successful candidate should have knowledge of all legal requirements for tax collection, reporting, reconciliations, tax lien sales, redemptions, exemptions, deductions, foreclosures and appeals.  Other duties may include replying to OPRA requests, and Payments in Lieu of Taxes and interacting with taxpayers and citizens on a regular basis, contributing to the effective flow of information. The Township holds an annual Tax Sale. Three to five years’ experience in the tax office.      Assistant Finance Director
Township of East Brunswick (Middlesex County) seeks a full time financial professional to become the Assistant Finance Director.  Preparation of Financial Reports for the Township Current Fund, Grant Fund, Capital Fund, Construction Trust Fund, Trust Funds, Township Library and five Utilities Operating and Capital Funds (Sewer, Water, Parking, Pool, Police Training and Pool).  Responsible for managing all cash activity, investments, electronic transfers, liaise with the bank, and review of and guidance related to bank reconciliations prepared and payment of debt.  Candidate will working closely with the other Finance team members in Finance, Accounts Payable and Payroll and Tax and Utility. Additional responsibilities include support in the annual budget process, preparation of the annual debt statement, monitoring capital budget ordinance, management of revenues, developer escrows, vendor payments, contract management, grant accounting management, off duty policy work and special projects and analysis as needed. Implementation and maintenance of internal controls, system security, and maintaining the General Ledger and all subsidiary ledgers.  A bachelor’s degree in accounting with a New Jersey CMFO certificate are required.  A master’s degree and/or possession of a CPA License is a definite plus.
