     Chief Financial Officer/Tax Collector
CMFO/CTC – Full Time for MAPLEWOOD TOWNSHIP (Essex County) (pop. 24,000). Must have current CMFO and CTC certifications. Municipal Budget is $45M with 7264 line items.  Supervise Finance Office with a staff of 5 FT positions. Minimum five years local government finance and tax collecting experienced preferred. Strong knowledge of Edmunds Software is essential. Responsibilities include but not limited to all statutory requirements, assisting in the preparation and oversight of the municipal and pool utility budget. Attendance at finance committee and budget meetings, general ledger, debt/grant management, investments/disbursement of funds , bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, escrow account management, pension reports, and payroll. Strong ability to analyze financial data and advise on financial matters. Computer literacy and knowledge of Excel and Word is mandatory. College degree preferred. Seeking a detail oriented clerk who will be responsible for ensuring accurate 
water utility billing. Experience and knowledge of Edmunds computer programs 
and Neptune Water Reading System preferred.  Under close supervision, performs 
routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a 
variety of functions; enters or types simple or routine reports and/or assists 
in the preparation of reports by gathering data, tabulating results, and/or 
preparing simple charts; maintains records and files; does other related
