The Township of Jefferson (Morris County)                                                                                         is currently seeking a full time clerk to work in the Tax Collection Department.  Major responsibilities include daily processing of utility and property tax payments as well as receipts from municipal departments, preparation of respective deposits and reports including monthly reconciliation of same, communication with residents about New Jersey State property tax relief programs. Tax Collector

Certified Tax Collector (CTC)– Full Time – Bordentown Township
Bordentown Township is seeking a full-time Certified Tax Collector (CTC). Bordentown Township is a growing, progressive community with an annual budget of $16.5M and approximately 4,000 line items.   The Township is not responsible for utilities or any special tax districts. Duties include processing receipts for taxes, balancing and reconciling accounts daily, mortgage company bank code changes, lien calculations and redemptions, managing annual tax sale and billing processes. The successful candidate will be a team member of the finance office and will be expected to assist in the day-to-day operations, which shall include, but not be limited to accounts payable and assisting the CFO. Must be knowledgeable in all functions of a tax office, including collection of Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT), be accurate, attentive to detail, and must have excellent customer service etiquette. The candidate should be proficient in Excel and Edmunds.  Possession of a NJ Certified Tax Collector (CTC) License is required. Tax/Water/Sewer Collector

TAX/WATER/SEWER COLLECTOR - Hightstown Borough in Mercer County is seeking a full time Tax/Water/Sewer Collector who has experience and familiarity with all aspects of the Tax/Water/Sewer Collector’s Office, for approximately1740 tax line items and 1894 utility accounts.  Applicants must be knowledgeable in Edmund’s Tax Program and Microsoft Office.  Duties and responsibilities include billing, collections, liens and redemptions, bankruptcy, Tax Sale process, administering tax relief programs, enforcement of tax laws, posting and reconciling cash receipts, refunding overpayments, preparing required internal and external reports, and all other duties associated with the office of the Tax Collector. New Jersey Tax Collector’s license and excellent customer service skills required.   Experience with utility collection preferred.
